About The Role

We're looking for someone to take responsibility for the design, implementation and testing of software components of our information and entertainment platform.

As a part of the German R&D team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of software components for our rail infotainment and passenger engagement solutions. You will bring together leading-edge multimedia technologies with strong rail industry standards to ensure reliability and availability of our solution.

We are seeking a Software Engineer who has two to three years of experience as a Developer in web development or telecommunication and are capable to take over technical ownership of a bigger software solution and guide and mentor both internal people and contractors. Knowledge about continuous delivery, deployment chains and configuration using automation is beneficial.

The candidate should be keen on working in a fast paced, leading edge technology, agile and customer facing environment.

We are looking for Developers with focus on various domains covering the following skills and qualifications:

• Either independent from degree with minimum of 3 year experience with focus on product and technology or master’s degree in computer science, informatics or equivalent.
• Well educated and experienced with software engineering and design methods including agile, extreme programming, object-oriented and test-driven design.
• Familiar with managing comprehensive software suits.
• Experienced in working in structured environment including version control, continuous build / integration, gateway processes.
• Used to work in a modern development environment including continuous integration and delivery chains including a high level of automation based on orchestration tool and technologies such as Ansible, Puppet etc.
• Constantly curious to use experience for applying new technologies and best practice methods.

Dependent on the respective product focus, we are looking for full stack developers covering at least one of the following technical domains:

• Good knowledge of Linux/Embedded Linux and system integration
• Development of server-basedn JavaScript / node.js application
• Frontend development based on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Vue.js or Angular.

• WebAPIs using technologies such as AJAX, REST, SOAP, JSON or similar.
